I am currently working as a real estate agent for a nationwide company, Century 21. We are relocating and I am considering working in new construction because there is tons of new construction in the city where we're moving. It seems like the agents sit all day in the office waiting for clients. They can't go out and door knock or send mailers etc, as I do now as an agent. How do they ensure they get paid? What if no clients come in and they really can't do anything proactive to get more clients. I have an interview soon so I'll get more definite answers about pay, but I was just wondering and considering all my options so I can have a job lined up when we move. Thank you!

I hope to work abroad in the future. I really want to work in the real estate investment or development. I am currently studying abroad in Brazil and enjoy the culture. I plan to continue studying Portugese next year. I am not sure if it worth the effort to audit into chinese (mandarin) classes. I took mandarin in hs and wasnt good at it. I actually not good at any language except Vietnamese and English. Can I get some prespective and advice on my schooling? Thanks.
